Kootenay Cup # 3

The following are results for the Kootenay Cup which was held at Black Jack this past weekend:

There were 76 participants in total from Black Jack, Revelstoke, Castlegar, Kimberley, Nelson, Hills, GrandForks  and Washington State.  Oldest competitor was Al Fisher and youngest were a number of skiers who were 4 years old.  Sprints were held on Saturday and a Classic distance race was held on Sunday.  Results can be found on Zone 4.  Beautiful blue skies contributed to great sprints on Saturday and snow and 0 degrees Celsius made waxing and racing tricky on Sunday for the Classic races.

Thanks to the volunteers.  Black Jack has a great infrastructure in place now to hold big events like the NorAms and hopefully, we will do so in the next years to come. Thanks to the media for promoting a great sport.  Don't forget that George Grey from Black Jack will be at the Olympics in Whistler.  See you at the Loppet at Black Jack on March 7.
